The Travelers Eye is a process, a journey through birth, self-identification and realization, union with another, death of body and rebirth of spirit as seen through the eyes of the travelers experiencing it. The performance focuses on moments in time, critical moments, when we realize that death is crucial to living, and that there are many moments of death and rebirth within the span of a life. Modern and ancient texts from different spiritual disciplines reveal that this journey and process only vary in terms, not content. Through music and poetry, The Travelers Eye seeks to bridge the human experience unique to individuals and common to our spirits.

Composed for 5 voices and piano, The Traveler's Eye is a modern theatrical version of a popular format of music from the 17th Century, called Madrigali. Just as Claudio Monteverdi's "Madrigali amorosi" and "Madrigali guerrieri" represent songs of love and war respectively, The Traveler's Eye represents "Madrigals of Life," theatrically staged and dramatically presented.
